Amelia in her prime at age 5.5 years old, showed like a champ and went on to win Best in Show Specialty under
New Zealand Breeder Judge Pam Douglas!
Many thanks to Lauren Hay-Lavitt, who artfully showed Amelia in her usual elegant fashion, also thanks to Benjie, Lauren’s right hand who always masterfully presents Amelia to look her best. And Everett, Amelia’s son, went on to win Best in Sweeps under Breeder Judge Casey Minner and then goes on to win Reserve Winners Dog under Judge Pam Douglas that same day.
Amazing Critiques! Thank you judges!
Everett, McCrystal Forever Timeless: What a puppy! Such lovely, long balanced strides and handled at a perfect pace for him. Plenty of reach in front and nice driving rear with no kick. Wonderful head. Perfect proportions. Nice dark eye and pigment. Great steady temperment. Excellent shoulder and front assembly with well-matched rear; if I’m being picky, he’s a little flatter in croup, but still has good tail set and carriage. He really makes quite a picture. Expect big things from this boy. Best in Sweepstakes Breeder Judge Casey Minner
Everett, McCrystal Forever Timeless: 17 month slate dog, who exhibits a very nice outline with correct proportions. He has a very good head, lovely typical expression and eye colour. Correct reach of neck that flows into well laid shoulders. Correct chest shape and well ribbed back. His hindquarter angulation matches his fore. Level top line which was held on the move. He moved correctly with reach and drive. True coming and going. His adult coat is coming in. Reserve Winners Dog Breeder Judge Pam Douglas (New Zealand, Llanddona)
Best of Breed
GCH Sengalas Amelia McCrystal PT: Five-year-old bitch who took my eye the minute she came into the ring. She is not exaggerated in any way. Very feminine bitch with excellent body proportions. Excellent head with correct proportions with correct dark eye giving that “melting expression and window to the soul.” Lovely reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Her chest is deep and correct shape. Well ribbed back with a short strong loin. Her croup is correctly laid. She moved true coming and going and covered the ground effortlessly. It was privilege to judge this bitch. Breeder Judge Pam Douglas, New Zealand, Llanddona
Prior to the So. Cal Regional, Everett has been selectively shown in late 2017 and early 2018 to win several winner’s dog for a few single points.

Ms. Kerr remarked on Amelia’s movement, she stated “she just floats around the ring.”
First time in the best in show ring and Amelia kept showing her socks off. She loves the clapping!
Thank you to all the beardie people that came to support Amelia, it was an honor and a privilege.

NEW TITLE: Grand Champion Sengalas Amelia McCrystal
Grand Champion takes 25 points and 3 majors. This is something that Amelia and I have been working on the past 2 years.
Despite the fact, me having 2 knee surgeries and back issues, I managed to put every one of these grand champion points on her myself.
